The rest of the first Day:
Some observations.
1) Look both ways, they drive fast and on the wrong side
of the road
2) Smokers!!! Everywhere!
3) Languages: all sorts, a lot of Spanish, Chineese and
eastern European
4) Not as many blacks as I had imagined
5) The city is very clean
6) Best deal : Oyster card for the tube, essentially
halves the price to travel
7) Surprise: not all shows are Broadway caliber
8) Piss off: my unlocked phone purchased at a premium in
Canada could not be unlocked!
9) Antidote for Piss Off: purchased a phone with 100
minutes for $30.00
10)
Soho: walk by any pub, filled with gay men, doesn’t attract a second glance
after a day or two
